Claude Gilstrap started this business in 1935, and four generations later the Gilstrap family still runs it. GAF lists them as a Master Elite contractor and has given them its President's Club award, an honor the shingle maker saves for a small share of its top installers.
Homeowners call them for leak repairs, replacements in GAF or Owens Corning shingles, and storm claims, where the team photographs damage most of us can't see from the ground and coordinates with the insurance adjuster. Their work runs past the shingles, too: siding, gutters, attic ventilation, and TPO and EPDM roofs for commercial buildings.
They work across the Upstate, from Easley and Travelers Rest to Greer, Simpsonville, and Spartanburg. Reviewers keep coming back to two things: jobs that finish when promised and crews that clean up everything before they leave.
